Origin of the UA32 Series R&D

During market exploration, we discovered that the needs of different customers varied significantly. Even within the same customer, there were multiple usage requirements. The common demand was A, while occasional demands included B and C. This meant that customers had to purchase multiple devices, resulting in additional costs and burdensome workloads.

We attempted to design a fully-featured product with ambitious goals. However, the reality was far from our ideal vision. A fully-featured product would bring high costs and a bulky design, which failed to effectively address the diverse work requirements of users across different industries. This led us into a cycle of design challenges, and breaking free from it became an urgent necessity.

One Device, Multiple Uses - Modularity

Inspiration is prepared for those who strive for innovation. After extensive market research and design development, the concept of "modularity" emerged in our minds. We envisioned a system composed of a standard main unit, functional modules, and application accessories.

The standardized main unit was designed to meet the needs of 70% of regular users. The combination of functional modules and application accessories was created to address the demands of deep industry applications and achieve a "one device, multiple uses" solution. This system aimed to create a complete mobile field operation system.

Users could easily adapt to different work scenarios by replacing different functional modules. These modules catered to various industry scenes such as mechanical control, warehouse management, fleet management, security command, surveying and mapping, industrial environment, and animal management.

Designing a device that is both lightweight and rugged, dustproof, waterproof, and capable of multiple uses posed significant challenges in terms of industrial design and structure. However, after numerous iterations and modifications, we achieved the perfect balance between these three aspects, resulting in the successful launch of the first UA32 device.

The Birth of a Bestseller

With its powerful performance and rugged features, the UA800 not only possesses a thickness of just 17mm but also weighs a mere 656g. It easily rivals the sleek appearance and lightweight characteristics of consumer devices. Upon its release, it quickly garnered market attention and became a sought-after product. While we were delighted by its success, it also brought along a new challenge.

In addition to the recognition from channel partners and end-users, the UA800's iconic industrial design and structure became a target for imitation in the market. Numerous products resembling the appearance of the UA800 flooded the market, a clear testament to our leadership in this generation of products.

This is a tablet computer with powerful computing capabilities and rugged performance. It can be applied to multiple industries and work scenarios, such as logistics ports, fleet management, in-vehicle applications, construction, asset inspections, energy sectors, law enforcement, surveying and mapping, and many more.
